Foxwoods

I know this isnt what this site is intended for but excuse me for this it's for the wife.I have a couple of days left on my vacation and was thinking of going here.She likes the spa,shopping and that kind of crap.Has anybody been up there to stay and would you recommend it? Henpecked I mean Shoeless

I've been to Foxwoods more times than I can count. Fast is right about the laptops. No dice, so to speak. I had a somewhat heated arguement with the manager about that once. He didn't budge an inch.

They'll only comp based on 1% of your handle, and that's a "bonus point" comp, not a cash rebate like you get online. It doesn't matter if you're a high roller or a low roller. That's it. Half the time I don't even use my Wampum card.

I suggest you make a room reservation for the Grand Pequot Tower. Pay for it in advance with American Express. Then if they have to bump you, like what happened to me in August, they'll put you up next door in a Penthouse suite for the same price!

The seafood restaurant downstairs is excellent. For steaks, the second floor is best (the place next to the Indian statue).

Your wife will enjoy the spa, although the pool is nothing to write home about.

Mostly she'll enjoy shopping. They've got that covered!

Thanks guys that's wierd about the labtops what the hell do they care.For me it's about a 7 hr drive so I was thinking about taking the train up .Shoeless
