VDC Pace and Cap Classic

Hi Jeff

Thank you for your gift The VDC Pace and Cap Classic was a great success
It is a beautiful thing that you do. You go to great lengths to bring us together
Laurel Park is a very nice track The people who took care of use were great
I am very proud of our group
I want to thank You,Pino Jeff Mudd Gary Paul and there family and friends who also came and of course Mom and Dad. I was very happy for our whole group to be invited down to the paddock then over to watch the race from the winners circle then after the race we all got to be in the picture Laurel Park did very well for us
Lunch was good Thanks for half of your dessert
The race, The VDC Ace and Cap Classic, That had to be the most exciting $6.80 winner I ever had and a $22.000 exacta too!!! Pino and I crushed the race. Two match up students
moment to shine Jeff Mudd hit another monster exacta at Belmont
I know he likes these gatherings as once again he cashed big on VDC day
It was a nice chance to meet Gary and Paul, two excellent handicappers and extra nice men Once again I got there late I promise next time to get there early so we can do some kind work ahead of time Mom took many pictures so I will post them on the site
Thanks Jeff I was an unforgettable day

Bill,The pleasure was all mine and I was glad that I was able to make it there. While I was in the hospital and home recovering I realized that people here on this site were more concerned about me then people I have known for many years.I like to win at the races but to me nothing can match the friends that I have made here on your site.THANK YOU for all the hard work you put into making it possible.Jeff

Yesterday was awesome... Jeff, thanks so much for making this happen and for your hospitality. It was so good seeing everyone and getting to meet Gary. What good people this group is. Bill brings out the best in me as my biggest 2 exactas have come when our group has met(2 times). I surely needed a day like this to get out and have some fun. Richie - Kevin and I missed seeing you but we understand and know we will see you soon.

Take care all and thanks for a special special day. Kevin had a blast and the paddock visit winners circle brought me back to those days when I first started coming to the track.

Thanks again - Jeff

I hope we can do it again soon as well,I really pick up bits and pieces of doing things. All of you are very good at how you look at a race and what impresses me is that you stick to doing it that way. This is one of my biggest problems of not at least having some sort of basic way of getting down to the right horses to bet once I have my contenders. It's wierd because when doing a turf race Im usually right there with my horses but when it comes to a dirt race I just cant seperate them.Jeff

It sounds like everyone had a good time with several people driving many hours to meet to make it possible. I would rather spend 4 hours in a plane than drive 4 hours. This group should consider a destination for a annual meeting as a group "Line In The Day". Make it Las Vegas and count me in.

Guys,
Was a pleasure to see you all, as well meeting Paul and Gary's family.
"It's all in picking the right paceline" Gary's motto. I had a blast.
Thank you Jeff for organizing it.

Fast,Vegas would be great but with hotel and airplane expenses it could be pricey for some.Maybe somewhere like Delaware Park or Philly would be better.Jeff

pace & cap classic

Shoeless, how can I ever thank you for putting together such a nice tribute to our son Bill. It was a true pleasure meeting you. Again, thank you for your hospitality and generosity. What a thrill to be in the winners circle with Bill and his friends, and watch the 7 and the 3 come in. I took a picture of my winning exacta ticket, Bill will send it on to you as soon as he can.
Love, and I hope we see you soon.......continue your road to complete recovery.
To all of you that were there, Pino, Jeff, Kevin, Paul and his wife, Garyand his family, I am so happy to have met you and look forward to doing this Pace & Cap Day again someday.
By the way, Laurel was one of the nicest tracks I've been to. Really liked the lunch and the staff was very polite and friendly.
Love, nomorebocci Mrs. V

Pace & Cap day

what a nice day....enjoyed the day at Laurel with all those Pace & Cap guys and their families that made the trip. Driving down from NJ wasn't bad because I got to spend the 3+ hrs with my son Bill which I always am happy to do.
Many many thanks to Shoeless for putting the whole day together and being such a good host.
Nice meeting everyone.
Best of health and good wishes to everyone. Great day. Made me very proud that my son Bill has such nice friends. Hope to get together again some day Brooks
