On my way home from Saratoga, my checked bag was lost so I hung around in Toronto for a while waiting for it and slipped off to Woodbine the next morning to watch the workouts. An amazing environment, a beautiful racetrack in the early morning, the horses grunting as they gallop or lope past, jockeys, grooms, trainers plying their trade, groundskeepers conditioning the track, watering the flowers, polishing the brass... And no one to stop you from getting a good view of these hardworking folks and horses who make our shared passion a reality.
It was a magical and eventful 2 weeks for me: from Del Mar to Saratoga to Woodbine within a 7 day period
Three finer tracks on this continent I cannot imagine!
