Mark, when your doing your match up your kind of free from this ball parking of numbers, and are able to concentrate on the flow of the race.
I can’t match, but we can look to for who will be advantaged by the pace, I see there is freedom from the exact value in numbers.

Imo the final time varient does not reflect the fractional splits 50% of the time as well,I used to make pace and final time variants
Too much work, fortunately for us the first 2 fractions are not stepped on too much .by most of these programs we use.

I too wish I could up with something new,a pbs or a ppf spinoff,I think we need things that are unique,or something old we can master
I’ve tried race shapes, pace pressure gauges, running styles, pace of race to get a clue of the race the horse is coming from.
Now I’m comfortable with velocity ,as old as it and I am.
