I tried the live / group race posting thing ,
It is fun but I feel it gets too confusing to follow along. For people who look after the fact who could not participate its gibberish. Basically its good for the participants but pretty useless as a learning tool.
I like to post races ahead of time. I try to do a race and give people a few hours to look it over, Then after the race describe what happened and pace line / betting strategies.
