The Surface is an amazing tablet without question, it has more than enough horsepower installed to take care of anyone's needs., Ted could tell you how long the battery lasts on the device. You only have the option of a 10" or a 12" screen, and that is something that is subjective, you might want a bigger screen.
There are a lot of options out there at different price points, if your not gaming or video editing with the device, you can go with a cheaper option. Im guessing you need a Windows device. How big of a screen do you want?
