I know I don't consider such things, but I think that route races are a lot more dependent upon the ride that the horse gets. When you follow a particular circuit you can't help but be aware of the outstanding jockeys, as well as the ones who are lucky to remain on the horse for the whole race. When you are playing all over, you lack a lot of that knowledge.
I don't use jockey stats, but I think it is helpful to at least know who the really BAD riders on a circuit are, especially in routes.
