I have heard many times the exact same thing that ray lopez was talking about. My experience has been that "Horse Handicapper's" not "Horseplayers" are more knowledgeable as a group than many of the other professions.

Yes, it is a profession despite what other people may tell you. I gave up trying to justify or explain why I choose to handicap horses as it just leads to much frustration and aggravation.

Also I might say that as a group "Horse Handicappers" have always been to me the most genuine, hard-working, and interesting people I have met. That is why I used to really enjoyed attending Doc Sartin's seminars when I was able to.

Some people don't know what they are missing. I think you only go around once in life and you might as well do something you really enjoy. Life is too short otherwise.
