If today's race is six furlongs and the horse's last race was at seven furlongs, I'll use the six furlong time and stretch position (as the finish position) providing it's better than the seven furlong finish position.

I do this manually (which is one of the primary reasons I like to use manual input).

Otherwise I'll use the 7f paceline as it is.

Note, I will not adjust the six furlong time at all; no ticks off or any of that business.

Also, I'll only do it for the last paceline as a general rule.
