It mentions 2 issues -

1. Background synching to the Microsoft OneDrive Cloud (could affect general program performance over slower internet). Try turning this OFF.

2. MORE IMPORTANT, IMO - Turn Down or Disable Visual Effects (scroll half-way down the article looking for that headline). Since people who have experienced this - and on certain computers and not others - mention 'visual sluggishness', this caught my attention.

Since I do not experience this on ANY of my 3 computers (various MS Surface Pro tablets) - I cannot test this effectively. If anyone who DOES experience this slow-down can test this suggested modification to Windows 11 visual settings and let us know if it helps - that would be useful, thanks!

These suggestions might be an interim solution for those who need it (or maybe not.)

2 RDSS updates are coming immanently -

1. RDSS connects again to the NEW TrackMaster Store. You resume using your OWN TrackMaster account (and they resume charging you for RDSS data). This is in final testing. Next few weeks.

2. Migration of entire RDSS to the latest version of my development tool - PowerBuilder, which formally supports Windows 11. It has been suggested that this migration may address Win 11 visual slowness issues. Following delivery and any bug responses to #1 above, but likely by the end of November.

Looking forward to hearing feedback from the suggestions above!

Looking at todays BC racing at Del Mar with very full fields. I tried the two suggestions above.
Number 1: I don’t have One Drive installed. I removed it because I would have no use for it.
Number 2: I switched appearance to the performance priority.

No difference.

When looking at a race first time I am getting between 5 and 10 seconds for a screen change. This can’t be normal. Also when the new screen is in the process of coming up all the info in the Race Cards by Date goes blank.

This seems to me to be a processing issue. You can still do everything but you need a lot of patience. This is using a new HP computer with an adequate processor, plenty of RAM and Windows 11 with all its updates.
