I have converted every course ran in the US to meters for easy comparison. I handicap UK races too and one of the selection criteria I use which I find crucial is to use PP lines ran at the same distance preferably with recent dates ran on the same track composition (dirt or turf). If the same distance is not available, I always the next longer distance (within 200 meters - and no more than that). If I can't find an adequate match I pass the races. Also I find UK races much, much easier to handicap the US races. The only problem is that you can't bet them since the US government prohibits us from betting on UK websites. US residents are banned from places like Betfair, Totesports, bet360 etc. The only place allowing US residents to bet on UK races is
www.ibetx.com but the pools there are so small the you can only bet $20 max most of the time and no exotics. Perhaps in time, Speculator or RDSS can be adapted to accept UK racecard data when we will be able to bet at UK websites. Here is the table and please post your comments. Enjoy!
