CheckMark you are making a mountain out of a molehill here.
From the rules page;
Players must be involved in a
minimum of 30% of all Contest races over the 4 days. Horizontal bets count as 1 'race'. No more than $100 bet per day but a
minimum of $200 over the 4 days.
The key words are
over the 4 days. It’s not a running average. You could if you wanted do nothing until near the end of the third day and be okay. Up to you to track it and not cut it too close.
