Here's a good saver play I got today at MVR. The winner #7 caught a real pace heavy field and swooped in late to win ($24.70) and coupled with another closer #6 for an Ex that paid $46.60 for a $1 bet. Here's the winning ticket

As you can see I used the two late non contenders with a lower tiered contender and boxed them for the score. The other non contender #8 stayed to finish 3rd and the .50 cent tri paid $862.50.This is the kind of play you need on a day that's not going well.
