Start of a new meet
When utilizing the Sartin Methodology, what is a proper procedure for handling the numbers? Models and Profiles may give a general idea but are based on yesterday's realities. Should I just take the top line scores and move on, or is it much more involved than that?

I can't say this enough but your post as I read it troubles me.
There is so much to be gained from keeping a very simple track profile. Its yesterdays news ! yes but that news is golden If you follow 1 or 2 tracks a profile is even more important. I won two races yesterday the first was at Tampa were I reversed a tandem and beat a 3/5 horse with my 4th ranked horse, It was race 8 1 mile on turf , The second race was race 3 at Penn were my Parx model and profile showed me a 1.6 ML horse that screamed NEGATIVE DROPPER I collected $14.80 Without my profile and model I would have used line 2 for the horse But my model and profile showed me that line 1 was weak and it line 2 would have ranked probably 1st and I would have passed the race. Jeebs, if I can add something here.
The points that Bill highlights above are all thoroughly explained by Tom Brohamer on the Brohamer Lecture Tapes in the audio section. I can't begin to tell you how much I've picked up listening to them. Fourteen hours of solid gold in my opinion. |
