Rebel Stakes

Just curious if anyone has worked up the Rebel Stakes this Sat at Oaklawn. I dont have the PP at the moment but I like SuperNinetyNine.

Here is a link to the PP's. I'm still working on Thursday/Friday races but I'll take a look at this one Saturday morning.

You know I was solid on Super99 but after looking at the PPs, Im starting to think Treasury Bill and HardRock11 could duke it out if Super99 slows at the end.

just completed hcp the Rebel using RDSS....the 3 contenders for the win are
#4 Delhomme #9 Oxbow #10 Super Ninety Nine
#1 Treasury Bill questionable since he has never been a route...doubtful to me
also #6 Den's Legacy...questionable ....but he looks better for the turf...good luck to all

Del, Title and Super are the earlies with Ox being an E/P. Super doesn't need the lead and his pace last race beats the others. If you go back to line 2 at Santa Anita it is even faster.
Treasury is going S-R and using Hat's recommendation of focusing on the 6 furlong time puts this one right there (Last race 7F = 122.2 minus 12 and 4/5's = 109.3 plus a beaten length = 109.4).

I would take those 2.

I pick: 10 - 1 - 6. Final wagers, if any, to depend on odds offered.

There is a lot of speed here. IMO, we need some of the Late energy (and visual) runners in the top mix. #10 Super 99 can set fractions better than all the other Earlies, so is my speed-of-the-speed. The #1 Treasury Bill has overcome 1st 2 call times faster than #10, all the while disbursing Top 2 Late energy, and last in G2 company. If it continues to stretch out, it could be a counter to pick up if the other Earlies kill off Super 99.

The other Presser/Sustained #6 Den's, solid Graded company contender though not quite at the finish line. I favour him over the #4 because the #4 is going to have to give his all and more Early versus both the #10 and #9, and it has just not proven yet that it can fight for that lead it needs. Both #6 and #4 have worked in stellar fashion for this return.

Hi guys...looks like we are all coming up with the same contenders for the Rebel...doubt if the toteboard/crowd is going to give us a price here on #10...I'm lookin at under even money on him...got good pace # on #1 Treasury Bill but always leery of a horse trying something that he hasn't done before....that Grade 2 at SA was kind of ????? weak for a G2 but what do I expect...it's 3yo's....being a closer near the rail he better get a good trip, running wide at OP won't help him...won't know what I'm gonna do til' about 5 min to post...good luck all...let's make some $$$$$$$$$$ today

Basically, I see the race the same as Pete....

My route to Sprint for Treasury Bill....

8.5 F....Por....

25.0 50.1 112.3. 1:42.2....

Race comes up early with #10 with the higher weight and outside post...Jockey should tuck in on first turn behind Title Contender....

treasury Bill is number #1 hidden energy and #1 L/Ep...

So ....that's how I see the race unfolding...

Good skills..
