What I mean is I would open things up a bit like re-open the handicapping section for members only. Invite others from other boards to handicapp a given race that is a event that is held every year in this section. The common thing we all have is that we all read the racing form RIGHT? If we exclude by being Sartin only, then we are not practicing inclusion. Inclusion is the key to growing things, like it or not. Some have said I am anti Sartin, let me tell you that I am far from being that. However I prefer to be Sartin based but not all Sartin. Binder has said that I hate Doc, not true at all, I just do not worship him. His place in history is just that, he is history and the here and the now is just the Binder's and the Shoe's and the Fast's and who ever we welcome in. We can call them but they will not come if they have to bow to anyone from days gone by.

Well for one thing Binder doesnt read the racing form .You have to remember one thing it's not my site or yours it's Binder's and however he wants to run things it's up to him.I stand by his decision no matter what even though I guess Im a little anti-sartin myself.Shoeless

Keep going like you are as this a great site for continuing education for Sartin Methodology! Although I don't post much, I check this site (as well as Sartin Alums) at least once a day and I continue to pick up tips and odds and ends that help my capping.

Guys like you, Richie, and several others that are more expierienced offer much, and many, like myself who just don't have the time to post, gain much from you being on the front line and out there. Sure you catch some flak but hey, I hope they get over it or they can start their own site with whatever methodology they choose.

glad we are all focused back on that here

I think the site is a great place to learn. For me it is becoming a tremendous help. My accuracy is improving since I have been coming here and I expect it will get better as I learn more.
As far as other systems, if a section of the site were dedicated to another system I wouldnt be adverse to it. I go to the areas that interest me. I try to absorb what I think is important and discard what I think is irrelevant. I'm open to anything in that aspect.
I was always a fan of Arthur Conan Doyle and Dr. Bell and believe that we can only retain so much information so you discard what is unimportant to you.
I don't care which direction the site goes in as long as what is here is retained as a nucleus.
In it's current state I think the Binder's site fulfills what he was trying to accomplish here in supporting and promoting the Sartin Methodology. For my two cents I definitely appreciate it and thank him for it.

the reason that I don't post:
I got disenchanted by the way some people argue about handicapping. I rather analyze and friendly discuss important factors that would make us better handicappers. Handicapping "Art or Science", I don't know but I found that does require a lot of humility. I'm not a great or even good capper, I'm average, but when I handicapp a race I leave my ego outside. I don't know how far Doc's methodology can go, IMO has reached a saturation point. Doc has given us some tools, is up to us to define how to use them. I can be a great capper if I can choose the RIGHT paceline.

Why not email all the "members" and provide a mailing address for anyone wishing to send u a "little something" in appreciation for all you do and toward the upkeep of the site If you can accumulate some paper u can then use it to fund some things u wanna do here like video/ audio stuff
