Queens Plate and Other Marathons at Woodbine

Queens Plate mile races for contenders. Not as many prep races for this group vs Kentucky Derby contenders so there is some room for improvement and surprises;

I will try to attach my spread sheet later, there seems to be some problem accepting my screenshot.

The 12 furlong turf race 2 races before the Plate looks to be controlled by Simmard and Cognashene

Miles for Plate contenders

Looks like Straight of Dover on lead followed by Irish Mission; pace looks just right for Irish as she has best 3F and top TPR; River rush off the faster prep could be a lot closer today as could washington dash. Dixie Strike, another filly closed well off slower pace so she might be part of top four somewhere.

I am going to await the odds and may have a few bunched up in the exotics.

good luck.

Hi Bill, I came up with River Rush and Classic Bryce for the best mile times. It looks like a slower pace today than that Plate Trial tandem which could hurt River who comes from much further back. I will still make it a two-horse bet.

The Mounties are performing on horseback right now, before Race 8 - the famed Musical Ride!
