*RDSS Online Seminar*

Hello Friends,

On Sunday September 23 at 1pm EST, I will hold a 1 hour online RDSS Seminar using GoToMeeting Web and telephone conferencing. The focus of the Seminar will be a general introduction to using RDSS for some of the newer users: downloading data, navigation around the screens, a primer on what some of the screens show, and some approaches to selecting Contenders, pacelines and conducting a race Analysis.

I have 15 spaces available, and while I've not yet conducted an online Conference of that size, I'll give it my best shot! By consensus, we can select a Sunday afternoon race and use it as a test-bed for exercising the software. I'll record the meeting and make it available afterwards.

I'd most like to encourage some of the newer users to attend, if at all possible, then anyone else, whether you currently use RDSS already, or are simply interested.

Please write to me at ted@ArtofPace.com if you would like to attend. On Saturday, I will email details of how to connect via the web and how to join the conference call. The only costs will be the long distance call (USA).

If there are any particular issues you wish to discuss, feel free to suggest them (remembering that this session needs to at least cover some introductory concepts, though after that, anything goes).

Looking forward to meeting some of you online on Sunday!

yours,

Ted

Joe,

You're most welcomed! We had a nice 6 person meeting for 1.5 hours, going over basics, learning some fine points. I'll probably do it again soon, when the next RDSS release is available, with the new Datacenter module.

There's lots of tricks in that GoToMeeting software. Anyone can be the Presenter, showing their computer screen, and letting others jointly control the mouse and keyboard, as desired.

That seems like a great way to have an ad hoc meeting to just drop in and work a race together, using any preferred software, switching between participants as desired. Sort of a super Chat Room.

Maybe I'll set up a kind of Pace and Cap online conference room, some evening this week. We can work a race. Let's see.

Ted

Top shelf seminar today

I would like to say thanks to Ted again for a great meeting today. I really learned alot. It would be great to have more of these, the conference room idea could be very cool. I would like to suggest someone run a matchup meeting. This website, it's members, and the software, c'mon, it does not get any better. First class all the way..Chrisl
