Kee10/11 Early is King

Yesterday at Keenland 7 of 8 dirt races were won by horses going wire to WIRE!!!
Mutuals were 84.80, 10.40, 5.40, 35.80, 8.60, 15.80, 13.40 Wow
I suspect the track maintenance crew will address this issue today.

As with any profile, watch the first couple of races and adjust accordingly.

there have been 6 7f races run at Keen. this meet, 6 were won wire to wire posts 1 an 2 were dominant. My E2 pace figs have the 5-2-8

Doc

Doc writes about and shows that the energy and early pace potential readout
can spot horse who possibly go wire to wire without any indication in the past performance of going wire to wire.

The early late graph and e/ ep readout , not the EPR readout which is just the second call

Your correct Bill about just using the EPR or SC (2nd call) to determine if a horse is early.

The old % Early, just using the 2nd call or the old visual has long been superseded by % Median which includes the 1st FR plus 2nd FR for a more finite rating which is much more accurate. The visual really gets pace handicappers into trouble because a horse can go wire to wire and still be a SP or a S type running style.

There is more to this than just % Median, but % Median will outperform the old Early rating and the visual ESP running style.
