Web Browsers - Thought you like to know
I threw my hands up Saturday as soon as i logged on to Xpressbet. Every time the odds recycled on the screen, the box showing the race kept minimizing and i kept talking to myself what the hell. It started doing it last week. I disabled the extensions and that didn't work either. I was using Chrome.
So I switched to Firefox. The website was more stable but the problem with Firefox was that every several hours the browser would crash and I would have to restart it. This has been happening for some time now but lately it started to crash the whole computer and restart the machine. After the races Saturday i downloaded the Vivaldi browser. Used it Sunday with no problems but on Monday i also downloaded the Iridium browser. I like to have a back up just in case. I don't like extraneous problems when i'm concentrating on horses. If anyone has had similar problems with Chrome or Firefox let me know how you dealt with it. Omar |

I'm also having trouble with Firefox crashing. Haven't figured out how to solve
the problem. Jim |
Try the NEW Microsoft Edge browser?
I don't have access to Xpressbet to test it, but I am hearing very good things about Microsoft's NEW Edge browser (not their OLD Edge browser). The new Edge is built around the open-source Chromium core, same as Chrome browser and some others, but MS has added some other goodies (speed, security, low memory use) while maintaining access to all Chrome plugins/add-ons. I haven't yet installed it but plan to.
I suggest giving it a try. At the moment, you'd have to download it from Microsoft (https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/...ed-on-chromium) and install it. Read reviews about it first. Ted |
Right now I'm using Iridium web browser and I have Vivaldi as a backup. Next week when I load Windows 10 32-bit on my second hard drive if I'm still having problems I'll try that browser if it'll work on 32 bit. I don't want 64-bit right now because the horse programs that I use won't work on 64-bit.

Hi I don't know if this is just me. Every hour I get a message that updates are needed. on windows 10 I get two options. Restart Now or Restart in 1 hour
either option I allow an update but I still get the pop up every hour Panic I use Chrome and windows 10 |
i'm not loading my windows 10 32-bit until next monday or tuesday. I stopped using chrome. There's too much stuff floating around on those browsers. Try downloading Iridium web browser. So far no problems. I've never used internet explorer. Those 2 browsers get bombarded with malware all the time. your anti-virus and malware stuff on your machine can't detect it because it's not in your machine but in their browser.
