Jim Dandy

Great name great history.

If you are interested, there is a Youtube video of an old film of that 1930 Travers available.....Old and blue but you can still make out the animals. No one seemed to notice that only a single three year old in that field had a Mud Mark.

Quote: He had all his glory on a single day: Jim Dandy would never win another stakes race, and he eventually retired at the age of 12 with a record of just seven wins from 141 starts. In his last four seasons of racing, he never even finished in the trifecta.
