Great hit !!
--was your selection of this horse based solely on Spec or do you use other programs to verify your selection ??
--throwing a deuce on that horse takes an awful lot of confidence on just one program !

--great hit

100% Spec and expierence in now 131 Derby preps over the last 4 years. It gives the signal and I bet the horse whether the horse is 4/5 or 100-1.

Can you share what differences you find in the Derby preps that separate them from other stakes?

I've been thinking about that and the results I am getting are really no different than a lot of folks are getting on other races. I am hitting 40% on Top and 60% top 2 in the preps. Others get this all the time, I however don't. What gives me confidence is the historical results. When I lose a few I always tell my self that at the end of the season I'll have my 40% 60% and I will get a few very juicy prices.... 1 General Quarters covers 13 losers...

The only difference I think about is in almost all cases the trainers intention in a prep race is to win. In a cheap claimer you really don't know.
