Very sad news - Pino Ledda
Giuseppe Ledda (aka Pino ,GL45) passed away on Thursday after
a long fight with cancer He was a long time member here and going back to VDC Messenger where I first met him and was like a older brother to me who I will deeply miss. I will always remember him on a Pace and Cap meeting at Pimlico picking a $100.00 winner at Delaware with Synergism 2 that Richie P had gotten us to use. We were also with Bill V and his Dad who Pino really enjoyed being with. To me this is what Pace and Cap is about meeting new people who become lifelong friends I love you Pino and hope that you find peace in your final resting place Jeff |
So Sad
what a sad day for us all,
Jeff I know how close you were to Pino This is so sad, Pino always had such kind words in our private conversations, I got to know Pino from our gatherings at Laurel and Pimlico. We stayed in contact ever since. Each letter included good prayers for my late mom and Pino was a big fan of my dads. He had such a kind heart, I remember of course his great ability as a handicapper, But I also remember how he escorted us using a back road short cut out of Laurel, I know this puts him way out of his way, It's sad because I know Pino was fighting for a long time. He just recently wrote and sent me a detailed Parx track profile he had compiled He was really looking forward to Parx reopening, He was a hard worker Pino was one of my very first members of the old VDC Messenger Service Rest In Peace Giuseppe Bill |
Sad to hear.
Prayers for his family, and you too, Jeff. I know he was a very dear friend to you. |
Rest in peace Giuseppe. Offering prayers for the family and friends that the good Lord will give them the strength they need during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to Pino's family and his friends.
Whatever 'words' Pino and I may have had over the years, I believe they were all resolved respectfully and amicably. We spoke and corresponded several times. I am grateful to him for the great skill and understanding of various Sartin and other methodologies which he shared with us in this community. And - grateful for that recommendation he gave to me of his old friend in Rome who runs an amazing restaurant which we visited in 2010 - amazing pizza! Go in peace Pino, in the great Beyond. Ted |
I am so sorry to learn of Pino's passing, I had no idea he was that sick. He was a gentleman, family man and a really good friend if he liked you.
My condolences to Lori and his family and friends(Jeff and Bill V in particular) during this difficult time. Richie |
I just wanted to let you know that I talked to Pino's wife
and told her about people leaving their condolences here. She told me to tell everyone than you very much. |
Thanks
