Tpr in rdss

Hi, everybody. In the book of pace makes the race, it tells us that we cannot use tpr rating in 4.5f, 5.0f and marathon race. Is it the same in rdss? Thank you for your kind attention.

In RDSS, 4.5f and 5f distances can be rated in the TPR system, though with so little 3rd fraction remaining after the 4 furlong 2nd call point, it makes not too much sense and the LPR component could be an unreliable measure of the horse's late ability and deceleration.

Use them if you must handicap a short sprint and 4.5 and 5f races are all you have to go with.
