Last Shall Be First Contest
 

The 11th race at Hollywood Park will be the final race from the historic track.

Here is your chance to win a prize package valued at about $20 :eek:

First off here is the field for the final race. Its Race 11

Now to win the contest all you have to do is pick the horse that finishes LAST :eek: in race 11.

The horse that finishes the race last will be the last horse to cross the
finish line ever at Hollywood park. Only I would root for such a distinction.
This horse will forever be known (to me) and us here at pace and cap.

RULES!!!

To enter the contest you must post that you want to enter
in a separate thread. Like I have in the post below,

Don't pick a number !! A number will be randomly selected for you
There are 14 horses so if I get more than 14 entrants
and more than 1 person has the correct number the winner will be who ever picked that horse soonest ( posts that they are in the contest first ) If I get less than 14 entrants and nobody picks the horse that finished last, The winner will be the entrant who picks the horse who finishes closes to the last place horse .

YOUR Number will Be posted between 1 minute to past and post time, Your number will be picked by a impartial very pretty assistant :0

All decisions are final. Your horse must actually finish the race (cross the finish line.)

This sounds like some pretty serious handicapping. Count me in. May I get the cheap speed on the rail in a turf race.

If a horse does not finish last but gets DQ'd to last, that horse doesn't "win" right. The horse actually has to cross the finish line last.

I don't want to be edged out by some steward that is playing here!

horse you miss out on the nifty prize

Yes I just got home. I saw the 10th race by sneaking in to a back room and flipping on TVG at the party but I missed the 11th race. I see my dad Brooks
won the contest when horse # 1 finished last . I can't wait to tell him. He will be very happy.

My dad is so happy he won the contest !
He got a big kick out of it.
My dad has been going through a tough time. He has had two operations.
He is doing well but its hard for him to have to just sit and relax as he wants to be the strong tough guy all the time
