Richie. Merry xmas to you and everybody else on pace and cap. I just have one more question about your examples on this thread. I have been following along and i understand most of it. What i would like to ask is what is the definition of a competitive line. Is that in the money.

Ok well this ain't over yet Robert. I am on the phone with Hat right now and he is giving me a bit of a talking to regarding the final 2 contenders that he wants passed on to those here especially you.

He gets VERY serious and asked me to think about what he said and tell you in the morning so that's what I will do.

Til tomorrow :)

That's a good place to start Stan. Races where the horse finished VERY close to the winner at the end also can be considered

Race

Hi Rich and Robert

I got confused by the last step . I just let it go and said
your two horse bets would be the 5 and 7. I had a feeling
about these two back in step 2 and it just grew each step I have to be honest
I entered both horses into KGEN to see if either the 7 or 5
dominated both the SP and EP screens, But it was a push

I am looking forward to more races

Hi Richie. I had this winner at Aqu and what I noticed that it had the same PATTERN as the one at Woodbine a couple weeks ago (It was the race where Jeff said, "if you would put this horse in".

The reason why I Picked this one from New York was because the #5 comes out of the fastest pace of last race. AND THERE WERE A COUPLE OF SPRINTERS IN THE RACE AND I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO RUN OTE.

AND WHEN THERE IS A HORSE THAT COMES OUT OF THE FASTEST Pace in its LAST RACE AND IT IS A REAL FAST HORSE AND IT HAS 2 RUNNING STYLES THAN HE IS VERY DANGERIOUS HORSE. THIS PATTERN IS VERY GOOD. THIS ONE PAID $31 AND CHANGE AND THE ONE AT WOX PAID $28.

Good matching Emilio!
Two terrific hits and more important to me good PATTERN RECOGNITION! That is what all of this is about man.

Morning Robert,
Ok Hat gave me a bit of a lesson last evening. I pass it along here for you and others ok?

Here are screen shots of the full past performances of the 5 horse and 7 horse.

Jim is very direct and to the point when he teaches. This is exactly what he asked:

1) Using all 10 lines showing regardless of distance/surface how many times has the 5 had the lead at the first call? Add them up.

2) Using all 10 lines showing regardless of distance/surface how many times has the 5 had the lead at the second call? Add them up.

3) Using all 10 lines showing regardless of distance/surface how many times has the 7 had the lead at the first call? Add them up.

4) Using all 10 lines showing regardless of distance/surface how many times has the 7 had the lead at the second call? Add them up.

5) Now who is going to positionally be ahead during the first 2 calls of the race. The 5 or the 7?

There is your horse. This is yet another reason why we use the entire past performances to evaluate a horse in today's race.

This is word for word what he did with me last night on the phone. OK hope this helps Robert

Yes it does help very much Rich and Jim.

In the legal world it would be defined as preponderance of evidence and the #5 has it all when compared directly to the #7 as to being first at both the first call and half. The #5 horse is easily more of an E type as to the pp’s then that one race in which it ran the successful P race.

In the beginning when I first was looking at this race I felt that if the #5 horse would get out on top as it has done so many times before that it could possibly run and win as an E. That is why I always liked two horses in this race as stated early on but some how I over analyzed the race and once I declared it an OTE race the #7 started looking better and better.

I feel good about this race as to learning the Match Up Methodology because in the end I was right there as to my understanding of the race but went astray some via over analysis which also is a good lesson to learn.

Thanks again,

Robert

Excellent call "Mu".

He is an early horse who CAN run other than early if he needs to. Eerily similar to that #2 horse at Hoosier in the other thread. mmmmm

By Christmas you will see at least 5-10 more and will be more aware of them because you have been exposed to them ok? Now it's just a matter of deciding if they are FAST against today's matchup. If they are there is your horse

** Hat helper** - Pattern type - FAST early horses who can also run other than early
