Hi Terry
I better not comment on adjustments I will leave that to Ted, If he wishes to. What I do see is horse #1 just missed at this same class but on the turf Turf lines on ploy tracks are acceptable. Turf line on dirt tracks do not give you the same success and you are at the mercy of a distance, and surface adjustment. The 42 DTV ? You are correct this makes the line non comparable, because it is not often you will see a fast GP dirt race with that slow of a DTV. So you used a non comparable line. That is one reason RDSS did not rate the 1 so well. BTW lets focus on the adjusted speed ratings for Horse 1 Line 1 gets a 76 which seems about correct for this horse even with the 42 DTV here are its adjusted speed ratings Attachment 36583 besides the dud race in the Queens's Plate were it got a 53 the rest of the races are all between 76 and 80 Attachment 36582 |
Regarding turf horses.....
IMHO....usually early front runners on turf can adapt well to dirt surfaces..closers, especially deep one Pace closers on turf are at a huge disadvantage when switching to dirt.. The percent median is a good gauge to evaluate the matchup of turf horses on dirt... Note...this is in races where there are no comparable recent Pace lines to evaluate.. I believe there are some who stress to pass to look for a clean race.. At fairplex especially at races at a mile and 1/16th and up...for some reasons...turf horses do very well...some trainers like Jeff Mullins have figured these races well.... |
Wow - playing around with the DTV, in the config section, produces interesting results.
I need to play around with this a tad.... Tnxs again. |
