Jeff, I come up with 2 absolute bombs right on top. The #3 is 10/1 ml and the # 4 is 20/1 ml. Umm window please and QUICKLY before I overanalyze myself right out of the race. Win bets: 3 and 4 here are 2 screen shots bl/bl Summary |

To Anyone Interested in Longshots:
Last Thursday (above this post) I showed how I had a 70-1 shot as a real contender in the 2nd at EVD. The horse ran second. All of the payoffs were very nice. I would like to show those who are interested that it was not a "fluke" situation. Here is another, almost identical, situation. Take a look at the 1st at LS tonight, 5/3/06. The #4 is in a very similar situation. Showed some early speed in first lifetime start. Took a significant layoff. Came back at a higher class and showed very little. Tonight was the night to try and see what the horse could do. Went off at 65-1. Led for a long time and finished third. Paid 13.20 to show and the tri paid 741.40 with the odds on favorite running second. I think this type of pattern is VERY interesting. Gary |
Gary,Very interesting the horse was also bumped around in last race.I guess the Hat is right when he said these trainers dont know anything.I wonder how come the trainer waited so long to bring the horse back after his first start.Anyway interesting pattern to follow, thanks for sharing.Jeff

Richie,Good luck with those 2 and you will get big numbers on them.Jeff

Jeff: The horse was probably injured in its first start. Who knows why trainers do what they do. It is just a pattern that has some ability to produce longshot contenders. Gary

Gary,By your 2 examples you have shown that it's something to keep your eye on.Jeff

Hi Jeff
I worked up the race for you This is what I get |
Bill,Thanks for doing that, you and Richie really have that 4 ranked high. The reason I didnt use the 3 or 4 was because I didnt want to use a state bred line in the race.I felt it would distort the readouts by doing so,state bred races are lower class wise than regular claiming races. But as you know looking to deep into things than rather than just basing on what the program tells you doesnt always pan out.Jeff

Jeff: Here is my take on CT, 5/4/06, R10. I felt the race was more difficult than usual. I could not comfortably get my contenders to less than 8 because I feel there are so many horses who are really questionable as to their form and lack thereof. I would be hard pressed to bet this particular race. Gary
